Sangulí Camping & Resort has been awarded the PiNCAMP Awards 2026, in the category of Best Rental Accommodation, thanks to its new Africa Bay area, inaugurated in 2025. This recognition, which is considered the Oscars of European camping, strengthens Sangulí’s position as an international benchmark for quality and comfort.
Africa Bay, a unique experience
In 2025, Sangulí took a decisive step with the creation of Africa Bay, an extension of the resort involving an investment of 11 million euros. The project includes 81 new accommodations, a new pool area and a new restaurant, all designed with top‑quality materials and sustainable solutions. The aim is to offer an exclusive environment that combines privacy, comfort and an immersive experience inspired by African nature.
Africa Bay covers an area of 1.6 hectares out of the resort’s total 30 hectares. This commitment reinforces Sangulí’s leadership in the sector and consolidates its position as an international reference in high‑quality accommodation and distinctive experiences.
The Oscars of the European camping sector
The PiNCAMP Awards are promoted by PiNCAMP, the booking platform that brings together the main European associations in the sector, such as ADAC (Germany, with more than 22 million members), ANWB (the Netherlands, with 4.9 million members) and TCS (Switzerland, with 1.6 million members). This alliance represents more than 9 million campers in key markets such as Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Austria, and positions PiNCAMP as one of Europe’s most relevant camping platforms.
An international committee of ten camping experts selects the nominated establishments each year from among hundreds of sector applications, ensuring a rigorous and transparent process. Its star‑rating system (up to 5) evaluates aspects such as accommodation, sanitary facilities, pitches, leisure offers, swimming pools and gastronomy. Campsites achieving the highest score receive the ADAC Superplatz and ANWB TopCamping distinctions, internationally recognised quality seals.
Sangulí Camping & Resort has held these distinctions uninterruptedly since 2011. In 2026, only 17 campsites in Europe have reached this level of excellence.
The award was collected by Xavier Blasi, President of Grup Blasi; Oriol Calderón, CEO of Grup Blasi; and Yolanda Tiñena, Customer Experience Director of Grup Blasi, at a ceremony held at the Friedrichsbau Varieté in Stuttgart, one of the city’s most iconic cultural venues.
This award is a tribute to continuous work, dedication and attention to detail, to offer memorable holidays. Sangulí Camping & Resort continues to invest in innovation and sustainability, with the aim of surprising its guests and maintaining its status as one of Europe’s most prestigious resorts.
