On August 1, Sangulí Camping & Resort launched the Green Wave Challenge, an initiative that rewards families who recycle the most during their stay. The campaign will run until August 31.
In its first few days, more than 10,000 recycled containers and 1,245 unique sessions in the recycling app have been recorded.
Since the installation of smart containers in 2024, the volume of recovered containers per unit per month has far exceeded the average recycling rate of a municipality with 10,000 inhabitants and 36 traditional 2–3 m³ containers. This infrastructure has also enabled an estimated saving of 4 tons of CO₂.
How the Green Wave Challenge works
During the month of August, guests wishing to participate in the Green Wave Challenge must download the "Recysmart" recycling app, register in the program, and use the smart containers distributed around the site.
Each correctly recycled container earns points on the participant’s profile, and at the end of the campaign, those with the highest scores will be rewarded. The winner will receive two tickets to PortAventura World, while those in second, third, fourth, and fifth place will receive surprise prizes.
Commitment to sustainability
As part of Grup Blasi, Sangulí Camping & Resort maintains a strong commitment to sustainability and responsible tourism, promoting pioneering actions that encourage the circular economy, reduce waste, and foster environmentally friendly habits among both visiting families and its team.
