The Mediterranean Sports Hub – Futbol Salou (MSH-FS), a flagship facility of Grup Blasi, was the venue for the Olympus Palace – ESI Solidarity Tournament, a day that successfully combined sports and solidarity values, drawing strong participation and a large audience.
As part of Grup Blasi’s commitment to sport and social inclusion, we proudly hosted this tournament, which brought together teams in the women’s, men’s, and Genuine categories. The matches, held at the MSH-FS facilities, were played in an exceptional atmosphere of togetherness, respect, and enthusiasm.
Prominent figures from Catalan football such as Ramón Maria Calderé, Santi Palanca, and Josep Maria Nogués took part as coaches during the matches, reinforcing the importance of nurturing talent and transmitting values to younger generations. A particularly meaningful moment was the participation of Rubén Almazán as the referee of the women’s match, part of the Be My Referee project, which trains individuals with intellectual disabilities to become match officials.
The Genuine category match began with a ceremonial kick-off led by local authorities including the Mayor of Salou, Pere Granados; our CEO at Grup Blasi, Xavier Blasi; and representatives from the International Solidarity Sports Foundation (ESI) and Hotel Olympus Palace 4*.
At Grupo Blasi, we would like to thank all the teams, organizations, collaborators, and sponsors who made this charity event possible. We are proud to contribute—through Grupo Blasi—to promoting initiatives that combine sport, inclusion, and human values.
With this tournament, we reaffirm our commitment to the community and to sport as a powerful tool for social cohesion.
