Sangulí's History

1972 Restaurant

1972

We inaugurated Sangulí as a small family business in Salou, with only 10 employees and a capacity for 600 clients. With 2 hectares of land and basic services, such as a bar-restaurant and a reception, we began attracting tourists from all over the world.

1977

The growth of tourism drives the construction of the first pool, the Relax Pool, to enhance the experience of the families who visit us, many of whom already consider Sangulí their second home.

1982

To celebrate the tenth anniversary, the campsite is expanded with an additional 4 hectares and new facilities such as a mini-golf, sports fields, an Olympic pool (Happy Pool), and a second bar, laying the foundation for us to become a tourism benchmark.

1990-91

We created the first themed area with the installation of the Bali bungalows, marking the beginning of Sangulí as a Camping Resort. In addition to the 16 Polynesian-inspired bungalows, we built a new pool (Fiesta Pool), a Roman-style bar, and an amphitheater that became an iconic feature of Sangulí.

2006

With the construction of 66 Villa Paradise accommodations, we bring the color and joy of the Caribbean to the Resort while continuing our commitment to constant innovation.

2011

We introduced slides in the Happy Pool, an enchanted tree in the Relax Pool, and opened the Sports TV Bar, a space designed for sports enthusiasts.

2017

We inaugurated the Africa area with 200 lodges and 12 safari tents inspired by African communities, revolutionizing the immersive experience of the camping-resort. Additionally, we also have a new Pet Club area with pools for dogs and an Agility zone.

2018-2021

In line with our commitment to quality, we expand some of the plot areas to 100m² and 120m², prioritizing space and comfort for families. In total, we have 902 plots offering unique experiences.

2022

We celebrate the 50th anniversary of Sangulí and reaffirm our commitment to sustainability with the construction of eco-sustainable restrooms and new accommodations in the Mediterranean area. We solidify our position as leaders in tourism innovation with a capacity for 5,000 people.

2023

We renovated area K, improving the quality and privacy of the plots. We modernized the third restrooms, installed a videowall in the amphitheater, and added new water games and slides. We revamped the entrance to Africa and renovated the Pet Club bathing area. We continue advancing in sustainability with more efficient boilers and optimization of water consumption.

2024

Villa Paradise is completely renovated with improvements in landscaping and interior design, ensuring greater comfort and sustainability. The Sangulí restaurant evolves to "1972," with a refreshed image and a high-quality Mediterranean gastronomic offer. The entertainment surprises with four new shows, and the dining experience is specialized with a unique identity for each venue. We implement smart containers to promote recycling, becoming the first hotel establishment in Spain to adopt this technology.

History of Cambrils Park

1996

Cambrils Park opens its doors on an old agricultural land of 19 hectares with 400 plots and facilities including a farmhouse converted into a restaurant, a pool, and a bar. With a capacity for 1,200 clients and 60 employees, it becomes the first luxury campsite on the Costa Dorada.

1998

The Resort expands to 800 plots and doubles its capacity to accommodate up to 2,400 clients.

2000

We built 70 Aloha bungalows, inspired by Polynesia.

2003

We complete the Polynesia area with 158 Aloha bungalows and complement it with the Caribbean Jungle children's pool. Cambrils Park solidifies its position as an innovative and family-friendly campsite.

2009

The popularity of the Aloha bungalows drives the creation of the Caribbean area, which includes 172 Villa Bonita, maintaining the commitment to excellence and diversity in themed accommodations.

2012

The last plots are transformed into 170 apartments that bring the Mediterranean area to life. With this change, Cambrils Park moves away from camping activities and officially becomes a resort.

2014

The La Masia restaurant is expanded with a buffet area, and a Fitness & Spa center is created to attract sports tourism and, in coordination with Futbol Salou, de-seasonalize the activity season.

2022 - 2023

The complete renovation of the La Masia restaurant and the Fòrum bar is carried out, transforming it into a modern, bright, and versatile space. Additionally, an ambitious project begins to renovate 100% of the accommodations in the next 3 years.

2024

We complete the renovation of La Mediterrània and Villa Bonita, improving efficiency, design, and comfort. El Pescador is expanded with a new terrace and Mediterranean cuisine. La Masia optimizes its kitchen and buffet, and the Chill Bar Paraíso renews its image with greater comfort. Cambrils Park Resort continues to focus on excellence.

History of Mediterranean Sports Hub - Futbol Salou

2012

The Futbol Salou facilities are inaugurated, a top-level sports complex with four natural grass fields, two artificial grass fields, and sixteen locker rooms. The facility includes a bar and sanitary services, specifically designed for athletes. This project allows the accommodation and catering services of Cambrils Park to be offered, making it the preferred destination for teams.

2014-2015

The construction of two new artificial grass football 11 fields completes the first phase of the project, reaching a total of eight fields. This growth consolidates Futbol Salou as a key destination for training and sports competitions.

2018

We add two additional artificial football 11 fields and a multipurpose football and rugby field to diversify the sports offering of the center.

2019

The Miniestadi is inaugurated, a space that includes a natural grass football 11 field with a grandstand seating 1,000 people, along with a gym, a multipurpose room, professional locker rooms, and two training rooms. A 7-a-side artificial grass football field and two beach football fields are also constructed. In the same year, Futbol Salou hosts the prestigious World Beach Games Qualifier Europe 2019 and consolidates itself as a cutting-edge center for international events.

2023

The Mediterranean Sports Hub brand is born, combining the accommodations of Cambrils Park with the facilities of Futbol Salou. This new proposal marks a turning point for Grup Blasi in the world of events and sports stays, aiming to establish itself as a hub for businesses and professionals in the sports sector.
